The fourth solo studio album by English singer-songwriter, Roger D'Arcy.
Recorded and produced by Simon Widdowson at his Cream Tangerine studios in the Ardêche region of France. The fellow Englishmen were first introduced by drummer, Tommy Rizzitelli, at a 2023 concert by local heroes, TV Sundaze, in Roger's adopted home town of Valence just across the River Rhone from Simon. Tommy, along with Corentin Roux and Romain Da Silva of TV Sundaze, joined Roger in 2024 to record his politically charged EP 'Torn & Tangled Banner' produced by Simon at Cream Tangerine. Exhilarated by the experience and having developed a strong bond, in the summer of 2025, Simon and Roger began developing 20 new songs written by Roger, distilling them down to the 12 which make up 'Footprints in the wet cement' - this time with multi-instrumentalist Simon taking on all but Roger's vocals and acoustic guitar plus congas by local guest musician, Simon Clochard.
A few tracks were released individually to streaming through 2026 with the full album becoming available on October 10th 2026 on vinyl, cd and streaming platforms - exactly 10 years on from Roger's debut solo album, 'Crooked Tales'.
